CARAIFA is the paramount provider of professional education for Life Insurance & Financial Advisors in the Caribbean. We offer comprehensive programmes for the professional development of our members enabling them to meet the educational standards prescribed by their companies and associations while rendering high quality service to the public. By the dissemination of education courses and programmes from FSCP to CLU, CARAIFA will fulfill its purpose in advancing public knowledge of the concept and uses of life and health insurance and other insurance and financial services or products; and its implementation.

Throughout the years CARAIFA has been adjusting, and upgrading its education programme. At this time, the following programmes are being offered by CARAIFA:

  • The Financial Services Certified Professional (FSCP), a designation programme
  • The Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU), a designation programme

The FSCP Designation programme combines essential product knowledge with basic planning concepts providing agents with the tools they need to get a jump start in the business and promote long-term success. Agents learn “what to say, how to say it, and when to say it” to capture and retain their clients’ business.

The FSCP programme lay the ground work for the CLU programme.

The CLU Designation continues be the hallmark of the successful life underwriter. The CLU is recognized in the financial services industry, and is respected by clients and their financial practitioners. It implies competence in the area of estate planning, and provides the education needed to differentiate one's practice. CLU designated practitioners are in the unique position of helping their clients build and preserve wealth.
