Deon Cummins LUTCF, FSCP
A Life Underwriter Training Council Fellow and Financial Services Certified Professional serving the
Insurance Industry since 2005, when from her early years qualified for several company and industry
awards including the prestigious Marjorie Taitt Award. She has been an active member of the Barbados
Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors (BARAIFA) from inception and served on various
committees, board, and executive and currently as president since 2022. Deon is also a current director of
the Caribbean Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors (CARAIFA) and serves as chairman of the
CARAIFA Foundation.
Having operated in senior management positions, Deon uses best in class approach to design life programs
inWealth Management and Legacy Planning as CEO of Zenith Insurance Agents Inc. Appointed Unit
Manager within the Robin Taylor Branch at Guardian Life of the Caribbean Limited(GLOC) and completed
the Agency Management Training Course (AMTC) in 2023, and is now a thesis away from achieving her
Chartered Insurance Agency Manager (CIAM) designation as she leads a team of dynamic Strategic Alliance
Partners.
Her dream to contribute to the development of future generations, saw Deon demonstrate a strong
commitment to the eradication of poverty and proudly stands as President of the Rainbow Care Center,
Personal Coach of Making that Change Youth Group, Minister of the Shalom Outreach Ministries and
Mentor with Project Protégé under the auspices of the government of Barbados Ministry of Youth,
Sports and Community Empowerment.
Wife, mother, orator and active member of the Les Chalk Toastmasters club, Deon enjoys singing and is
the song writer and voice behind the Robin Taylor Branch song. Her personal philosophy is to be the
change you want to see in the world.
