Alicia Wells-Birch MBA, LUTCF
Alicia Wells-Birch has been with the America Life Insurance Company Limited (ALGICO) / Pan American Life in Trinidad and Tobago for over twenty (20) years. She is currently a Unit Manager with that organization.
Her talent and industry acumen has been highlighted through a number of accomplishments including Trained and Coached Rookie of the Year 2010, Company Unit Manager 2nd runner up, Convention Qualifier three (3) times and the Company International Quality Award (IQA). As a dynamic and outgoing individual who has a commitment to overall personal development, she has been involved in various extra-curricular activities including her current membership in the T&T Toastmasters Club (Dynamic) and in the San Juan Roman Catholic Church Parish Council. She is also a member of Local Financial Association Board of Directors and was instrumental in their many achievements.
Alicia began giving back to her industry in 2005 when she served as Secretary/Treasurer for the Trinidad & Tobago Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors (TTAIFA) East Chapter. She has continued her service to TTAIFA holding various positions throughout the years culminating in her role as TTAIFA’s President in 2011. Additionally, she has been a member of the local association board of directors to formulate a system of Continuing Education (CE) credits for implementation by Central Bank of Trinidad and Tobago (CBTT) for the regularization of the local insurance industry.
She is committed to professional development and as such has completed various industry training programmes such as the Agency Manager Training Course (AMTC) and has earned the Unit Manager Certificate for Latin America and the Caribbean (UMPLAC). She is also a Life Underwriter Training Course Fellow (LUTCF) Designation holder.
