Monica Robotham, ChFC, CLU, is a seasoned financial services professional and community leader with over three decades of experience in the life insurance and financial planning industry. Beginning her career in sales with Life of Jamaica (now Sagicor Life Jamaica) in 1987, Monica quickly distinguished herself as a top performer and leader, earning numerous accolades including CARAIFA’s Caribbean Quality Award, multiple Sales Achievement Awards and Life Membership in the Million Dollar Round Table (MDRT).
A former branch manager at Universal Stores Limited, Monia holds professional designations as a Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU) and Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC) from The American College. Her commitment to excellence propelled her into leadership roles, culminating in her appointment as Unit Manager in 2008, where she has successfully trained and mentored high-performing advisors, many of whom have achieved industry distinction.
Monica has been an influential figure in professional associations, notably serving as President of the Jamaica Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors (JAIFA)from 2018 to 2019 and Congress Director for the landmark 2023 CARAIFA Sales Congress. Her strategic leadership has left a lasting impact across both local and regional organizations.
Outside of her professional life, Monica is deeply involved in faith-based and community initiatives. A graduate of Jamaica Theological Seminary, she is an active member of the First Babtist Church, where she leads various ministries and outreach programs. During the COVID-19 pandemic, she was recognized for her civic contributions, especially in assisting the elderly.
Monica is a devoted mother and grandmother, a mentor to youth and an advocate for women’s empowerment. Guided by the belief that true legacy is built on giving, she lives by the motto: “You are remembered not by what you gathered, but by what you scattered.”
As a result of her extraordinary contributions to enhancing the professional practice and image of life insurance practitioners throughout the Caribbean, it is CARAIFA’s distinct pleasure to induct into its Hall of Fame, Monica Robotham, ChFC, CLU.
