Deon Cummins is a Life Underwriter Training Council Fellow (LUTCF) and Financial Services Certified Professional (FSCP) who has been serving the insurance and financial services industry since 2005. From the outset of her career, she earned recognition through numerous company and industry accolades, including the distinguished Marjorie Taitt Award. A dedicated member of the Barbados Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors (BARAIFA) from the start, Deon has contributed significantly through various committees, the board, and executive leadership. As of 2024, she serves as Immediate Past President of BARAIFA and currently holds the position of Vice President of the Caribbean Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors (CARAIFA).
Deon brings a result driven and client centric approach to her work in Wealth Management and Legacy Planning as the CEO of Zenith Insurance Agents Inc. She also serves as Unit Manager within the Robin Taylor Branch of Guardian Life of the Caribbean Limited (GLOC). In 2023, she successfully completed the Agency Management Training Course (AMTC) and is currently finalizing her thesis to earn the Chartered Insurance Agency Manager (CIAM) designation. She leads a vibrant and high-performing team of Strategic Alliance Partners.
Passionate about social impact and community development, Deon is deeply committed to shaping future generations. She serves as President of the Rainbow Care Center, Personal Coach for the Making that Change Youth Group, Minister at Shalom Outreach Ministries, and Mentor with Project Protégé, an initiative under the Government of Barbados’ Ministry of Youth, Sports, and Community Empowerment.
A devoted wife and mother, Deon is also a gifted orator, toastmaster, and singer-songwriter, proudly lending her voice and lyrical talents to the Robin Taylor Branch song. Her guiding principle is simple yet profound:
